Statement:
For the last 10 years, while I paint my architectural images, I try to shut down my analytical mind and allow my emotion and instinct to direct my ‘computer mouse’ brush. I paint not in a conventional way.
My body of work started with film and today its all digital. Since it’s discovery, photography has always been an experiment of new methods.
I have been influenced by working with ‘fine arts’ artists, architects, art directors and creative directors in advertising, as well as, my own life long studies and interests in the fine arts.
Photographers like ManRay, Ansel Adams, and Alexander Rodchenko have had great influence on me, as well as painters like Wassily Kandinsky and Piet Mondrian.
My experience in fine art comes not so much from a classroom, but from hands-on experience working with artists of different venues, and my own desire. I‘ve always had a feeling of wanting to pursue ‘art’ as a career, and now I am ! Now I’m trying “to live the change that I seek”.
Vita / Lebenslauf:
I have been a commercial photographer for 42 years starting in architecture, spending 30 years in advertising & fashion, and back to architecture (fine art architecture). Born in Hamburg, Germany, moved to Montreal Canada, then off to New York City for 27 years and now upstate New York in an art colony town called Woodstock.
I love the graphic design of architectural facades especially a sectional abstract view, and then, I start to paint,or perspective sandwich cityscape's and/or isolate architectural details.

Aktivitäten / Ausstellungen:
Besides being a photographer of buildings, I also have fun occasionally redeveloping an older house or buildings.
I have had several exhibits in New York City at The Salmagundi Club and The National Arts Club and at the Mercedes Benz Gallery.
I'm part of the Eero Saarinen (architect) exhibit at the Museum of the City of NY, just finished a month long exhibit at the National Arts Club in Gramercy Park in Manhattan. I'm represented in Miami Florida at Avantgallery, I have just finished a 6 week exhibit in the lobby of a 50 story offic ebuilding in mid-town Manhattan at 1133 Ave of the Americas, the entire lobby with 4 wall to myself, next exhibit at the Bank of America in Woodstock NY for the month of June 2012
